The location advantage

Why Dublin, Ireland: the docs-named closest region to Polymarket

Polymarket is fronted by a Cloudflare edge in Dublin, while its order book is served from the London region, and Polymarket’s own documentation names Ireland (eu-west-1) the closest non-georestricted region to its primary servers. For bot and API traders, that makes Dublin the shortest practical route to the book in Europe.

Built for bots

As of July 2026, the Polymarket website is close-only from Ireland while the trading API stays open. Exactly who this location serves: bot and API traders.

Edge in Dublin

Polymarket’s edge sits in Dublin, so your VPS reaches it in a ~1.5 ms local hop, not a detour through another region.

Order book in London

The book itself is ~10 ms of network away in London, which is why an honest live feed is ~14 ms, not sub-millisecond.

Peered at INEX

Multi-homed peering at the Dublin Internet Exchange keeps the route short, direct, and stable.

Quick Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our Dublin VPS

Where is Polymarket’s server, and why is the feed ~14 ms, not ~1 ms?

Polymarket is fronted by a Cloudflare edge in Dublin — a ~1.5 ms local hop from our VPS — but the order book itself is served from the London region, roughly ~10 ms of network away. So the honest live-feed figure from Dublin is ~14 ms and order round-trips are ~23 ms. Any claim of “sub-millisecond to the order book” isn’t physically possible from Dublin; the ~1.5 ms is the edge hop, not the book.

Both are TradoxVPS locations and the trading API is open from both. In our concurrent benchmarks, Dublin had the best order round-trip medians (it sits in eu-west-1, the region Polymarket’s docs name closest to their servers), while Amsterdam had the fastest live WebSocket feed. Pick Dublin for order-heavy strategies like market making, and Amsterdam for feed-reactive strategies like copy trading. Running both gives you failover across two countries. Full comparison on our Polymarket VPS page.
No, and this is a Polymarket policy, not a VPS limitation. As of July 2026, Polymarket limits its website to close-only in Ireland, while the trading API (the CLOB) is not restricted. That’s why this location is built for bot and API traders. If you trade manually through the website, this product is not the right fit, and we’d rather tell you that before you buy.
US East is ~70–90 ms from the London-region order book (cross-Atlantic), and many EU countries either block Polymarket or route further to its edge. Dublin is the closest non-restricted base, which is why we put the Polymarket node here.
Ireland’s gambling regulator (the GRAI) began licensing enforcement for remote betting in July 2026, and Polymarket now applies a close-only restriction to its website from Ireland while leaving the trading API open. Access tiers are set by Polymarket and regulators, not by any VPS provider, and they can change; we monitor API access from our Dublin servers continuously and this page reflects the status as of July 2026. We provide VPS hosting, not trading or legal advice, so please check the rules that apply to you.
